What we do
First Point Madeley is based at Madeley library. Madeley library and First Point provides customers with the opportunity to access a variety of services offered by Telford & Wrekin Council.
Residents can now visit for help, advice and information about wide range of council and partner services. A free phone is available to access Council Services and computers are available for free use by members of the public who may want to access services or search for job.
|Revenues and benefits||Council tax benefit, housing benefits, local housing allowance, second adult rebate and free school meals.|
|Concessionary travel and blue badge||Concessionary travel and blue badge enquiries. Apply and renew your concessionary travel pass and blue badge.|
|Environmental maintenance||Refuse collections, collections of bulky items, recycling collections, road sweeping, Litter, Grounds maintenance hedges/grass/ shrubs, street furniture/ fencing, waste management permits.|
|Antisocial behaviour||Report: fly tipping, graffiti, noise, vandalism, rowdy inconsiderate behaviour etc.|
|CAB general and debt advice||Information and advice on welfare benefits, employment issues, housing, relationship issues, consumer problem, immigration and nationality issues. Debt advice: Initial assessments and advice to ensure people are referred to an appropriate debt specialist. We have in-house specialist debt caseworkers and a specialist caseworker providing advice aimed at helping homeowners to continue living in and owning their own property, and advice on the 'Right to Buy'. Specialist advice on debt and welfare benefits is also available by referral, for clients that are eligible for legal aid.|

A BSL interpreter is also available to meet with customers at First Point.
