Two farmers’ markets this month

Two farmers' markets are being held in Telford and Wrekin – with one in Ironbridge and the other in Newport.
Telford & Wrekin Council's markets team is organising both, with Newport market on Thursday 15 September and Ironbridge being held on Saturday 17 September.
The Newport Farmers' Market takes place in The Square and around the Butter Cross in Newport on the third Thursday of every month between 8am and 2pm.
This market which launched in May is growing steadily but the markets team are always on the look out for new traders.
It offers a range of local produce including fresh bread, cheese and fruit stalls along with cakes and baked goods, jams and preserves, liquorice, arts and crafts and freshly made pizza.
The Ironbridge Farmers' Market takes place on The Square between 10am and 2pm and offers a range of local produce such as bread, chocolate, sausage rolls, jams and preserves, cakes, fruit and vegetables, butter made at the market and hot food including a hog roast.
At both of the farmers' markets, shoppers can even buy home made dog biscuits at the market and also browse a range of arts and crafts stalls.
Councillor Charles Smith, cabinet member for Housing, Regeneration and Economic Development, said: "These two markets promise to be fantastic events for the local community and visitors alike and I hope all the stallholders do a roaring trade.
"We are committed to improving our traditional markets in Dawley, Hadley, Madeley and Oakengates and we are looking to establish new markets over a period of time.
"I would urge any local farmers and producers that would like to have a stall at the market to get in touch as we are keen to hear from them."
The Markets Team is actively seeking more stalls for its markets and offers a range of discounts to encourage traders join the markets.
