Paying, and getting help to pay, for social care services

The Council has policies which set out how much you will pay towards the cost of residential or nursing home care, or your contribution towards the care you receive at home.

It all depends upon how much money you have in savings or receive in benefits or other income. A full financial assessment will be carried out in each case. Depending on the outcome of this, you might be liable to pay the full cost, make a contribution, or pay nothing at all.
