Naming ceremonies
Information about naming ceremonies
It's the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of a new member of the family in a non-religious way and formally announce the names you have chosen for your child in a ceremony specifically designed just for you and your family.
It is a purely celebratory ceremony and has no legal standing, but it provides an ideal framework for all your family and friends to come together and acknowledge the birth of your baby. A unique occasion when everyone can be involved and offer their love and support for your child's future.
It is a chance to remind everyone of the great responsibility involved in raising a child, providing an opportunity for you to make a public commitment to their upbringing and to say how much the arrival of this new person means to you.
Close friends and relatives who you would like to have an influential role in your child's life can also participate in the ceremony. They are chosen by you and will be able to play their own special part by pledging their support and guidance throughout your child's life during the ceremony. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge the part Grandparents and other important people, perhaps older children, will have in this young life.
