Telford & Wrekin Council’s new borough-wide discount card is now officially live – offering cardholders a new way of saving money.
The TLC (Telford Loyalty Card) is a brand new initiative launched today by Telford & Wrekin Council - which is one of only a few councils nationwide to run a Loyalty Card scheme.
The TLC is free of charge and will save cardholders money on activities at all Council leisure facilities.
More than 80 local businesses have already signed up to the scheme and will offer a variety of discounts at shops and services across the borough.
The TLC will be delivered to all homes in the borough this week inside the Council's Your Voice newspaper.
Residents will need to register their card at www.telford.gov.uk/tlc in order to start making the most of some great money saving opportunities.
Telford & Wrekin Council has already built on its co-operative approach by announcing two high profile sponsors for the TLC - Telford College and AFC Telford United.
Councillor Shaun Davies, cabinet member for Neighbourhood Services and Co-operative Council, said: "Today is the day the TLC goes live, offering money-off deals for residents all over the borough.
"The TLC replaces the Flex card but also offers far more and what's more it is free and will save cardholders money on activities at all council leisure facilities."
Additional cards for each family member can be picked up free of charge from any leisure centre or First Point.
The TLC is part of the co-operative council programme and is also sponsored by TCAT and AFC Telford United.
