Special Education Notice from the Director of Education and Skills Rock Assembly goes Virtual this September
Booking now open for The Talent Foundry's annual Rock Assembly
The aim of The Talent Foundry’s annual Rock Assembly is to encourage young people to ‘think big’ about their futures and booking is now open for this amazing and inspirational day, which is completely free for schools.
The Talent Foundry is an independent education charity, and their mission is to increase social mobility by helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds discover what they are amazing at.
The Talent Foundry’s programmes, and events are only open to schools with higher-than-average numbers of pupils eligible for pupil premium funding within their local authority. Schools who want to check if they are eligible to attend the Rock Assembly should send an email to info@talentfoundry.org.uk.
This year the Rock Assembly Futures Fair will be comprised of a range of interactive online workshops hosted by employers, which will offer students the chance to engage with various sectors and industries throughout the day in a virtual careers fair. The workshops and activities will open students’ eyes to a range of apprenticeship programmes, school leaver opportunities, and higher education opportunities available to them, and is a fantastic way to support schools in meeting the all-important Gatsby Benchmarks.
There will also be a live performance and Q&A hosted by the Dixon Brothers (KISS FM.) Previous performers have included Professor Green, The Vamps and Razorlight!

Though we cannot hold the Rock Assembly in Wembley Arena as we would normally do this year, holding it virtually will offer students some fantastic opportunities to speak with professionals from a range of well-known organisations. Any schools interested in taking part should get in touch with us to see if they are eligible as soon as possible as the workshops are filling up quickly.”
