Consultations - Adults with Learning Disabilities Respite Services

Who can get involved? We want to consult only with those people who are directly involved in the respite service –that is service users, carers and advocates.
Start date 24 May 2012
Closing date 10 August 2012
Service delivery area Care and Support Commissioning
Reason for consultation The respite service for adults with learning disabilities at one residential building will change from November 2012. Consultation is necessary to see what people who use the service and their family carers think about how future services would look.
Overview While the decision has already been made that the service will change, service users and carers will be able to influence what the new services may include based on their experience of what works well and not so well with current services.
How to get involved? This consultation is being undertaken with the service users and family of this respite facility and local advocates only.
What happens next? We will consider the feedback and be including it in our plans for service redesign for the new service which will be personalised, increase choice and control and promote personal budgets.
