Reason for consultation | Telford & Wrekin Council, in partnership with Kier, is seeking your views on the latest proposals for the new design for the front of the Abraham Darby Academy. |
Overview | We have provided the architect with local people's views that have been gathered by our Community Engagement Team and Kier over the last two months. The key points raised so far are that the new design should provide a safe structure and that it should enhance the building so that it's in keeping with being the gateway to the World Heritage Site. |

Following the consultation, a planning application will be submitted. Once the planning application is registered, you will then have a further opportunity to contact our planning department to log any further views. |

Results / Outcome | The planning application was approved by the Plans Board on Wednesday 7th March 2012 and work will begin immediately. |
The next steps | Abraham Darby Academy has now moved into its new building and the final phase of the project to demolish the old school and create sports pitches will carry on until the end of 2012. |
