Who can get involved? SIS (Sensory Inclusion Service) and Portage teams, SEN Team, Schools - Head’s and SENCO’s, Parent Partnership Service, Parent Opening Door’s all in Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire, Health (Clinical Commissioning Groups T&W & Shropshire), SaTH (Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Health Service), Stakeholders: National Deaf Childrens Society (NDCS) and Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB). Shropshire Council officers and service users; children and parents.

Reason for consultation To obtain the views of Stakeholders on the service delivered by the Sensory Inclusion Service (SIS) and Portage Service.
Overview The consultation will take the form of web based, postal and children & young people questionnaires (for both SIS and Portage), with the link to it distributed to relevant parties. The questionnaire asks questions specific to the group it is targeting aiming to get a true reflection of the service provided from all perspectives

Discussion groups with parents/carers and stakeholders will also form part of the consultation process.
How to get involved? Surveys that are web based a link will be sent to relevant parties i.e. schools, stakeholders, paper based questionnaires will be distributed to parents/carers and to children and young people. Discussion groups will also form part of the consultation process with parents and stakeholders.
What happens next? This consultation is part of the overall review of SIS (Sensory Inclusion Service) and Portage services. The results will be analysed and will help inform decisions on how the service will be delivered in 2014/15 and beyond.
