The focus of this Scrutiny Review is: “How are organisations in Telford and Wrekin working together to prevent CSE, protect and support the victims and their families and prosecute perpetrators?” We are seeking to answer this question through two main lines of inquiry:- • How well have organisations implemented lessons learned from Operation Chalice and contributed to the development and implementation of the CSE support and protection pathway? • How well are organisations responding to the findings and recommendations of national reviews and inquiries including the Jay Report (July 2014), Coffey Report (October 2014), DCLG Select Committee report (November 2014) and Ofsted Report (November 2014). |

The consultation will ask questions about individuals’ experiences of services over a wide ranging period of time so that the evolution of services and successful implementation of learning can be judged. Who do you want to consult with? Consider who is the target audience – general public, staff, people in particular wards, particular groups of people. Tell us any restrictions on who can get involved. Victims/survivors of CSE in Telford and Wrekin Parents/Carers and Family members of victims/survivors of CSE in Telford and Wrekin Parents/Carers and Grandparents across Telford and Wrekin Specific forum and school groups of children and young people in Telford and Wrekin. | What happens next? | The Scrutiny Committee will compile a report following the review. The Local Safeguarding Children’s Board will consider the report commendations and the full response will be considered by the Council’s Cabinet. |
