Reason for consultation In January 2016 the Council launched its annual Budget Consultation. Proposals included reductions to the Library service budget, including the closure of six libraries. Following the consultation, proposals were amended. This consultation asks for people’s views on the new proposed changes.
Overview The consultation asks people to give their views on proposed changes to nine individual libraries, including the creation of community libraries operated by Town or Parish Councils. Also proposed library service charges and proposed library service activities.

One Library roadshow event in each of the nine libraries.
