If you want to vote at a UK election, you must be registered. Visit the Electoral Commission website for more information on how to register to vote and to see when you need to do this by in order to vote at a particular election.
As an election or referendum approaches, we will update our webpages to provide information about polling day, deadlines for postal and proxy votes and how to cast your vote.
The Council is required to publish annually the Referendum Notice which gives the number of electors necessary to call a referendum or petition. Download the Referendum Notice.
