If you run a catering business, you sell food loose or package it for sale in your shop, you only need to show:
- the name of the food
- if any of the ingredients have been irradiated, or have come from genetically modified sources
- certain warnings - visit the GOV.UK website for more information about food warnings and labelling
- any food additive you have added
- from December 2014, allergen information - visit the GOV.UK website for information about allergens.
You must show more information if you sell meat products loose. You can download the 'Meat products guidance' from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website.
