National Volunteers Week is an annual event which takes place on 1 June 2021 - 7 June 2021. It celebrates the contribution made by millions of volunteers across the UK.
As you may already know, the Council runs a promotional campaign on this every year to thank our amazing volunteers and to showcase their fantastic efforts. This year more than ever we want to recognise this so will still be taking part in the best way we can.

As part of National Volunteer Week we will be saying a “Time to say Thanks” and celebrating the fantastic contribution that our volunteers make across Telford and Wrekin shows” We are stronger together”. Whether it be caring for someone, looking after animals, caring for the environment, stewarding an event, being a school governor, supporting a local community group, helping with the COVID-19 at vaccination centres, community support or track and trace centres, each day volunteers make a positive difference to our borough.

We will be high lighting some of the amazing work individuals and groups have done to make Telford and Wrekin a great place to live. Visit Facebook to find out more information about National Volunteers Week.

Have you ever considered volunteering? It’s easier than you think and doesn’t have to take up a lot of your time. What’s more it can be a great way of meeting new people, getting more active and feeling good by giving something back. Visit the Volunteer Telford website to find out more.
