Recycle furniture, electrical appliances and clothes

Are you getting rid of your unwanted furniture or electrical appliance? Is it in good condition? Could someone else reuse it?

If your answer is yes to all three, then please consider giving them a second life through reuse.

Reviive - are a local furniture reuse charity who would love to have your unwanted items. You can donate to Reviive by visiting your local Household Recycling Centres (HRC) at Hortonwood 50 (TF1 7AA) of Halesfield 1 (TF7 4LN),

Requirements of recycled furniture:

  • goods must be good quality
  • fabric items must have fire labels
  • electrical goods must be in working order
  • fridges should be no more than six years old.

Items that are suitable for reuse can be collected free of charge and sold at a low cost to people on low income.

Important information

Reviive are based at our HRCs and a permit system is in operation at both sites, if Reviive are not able to accept your items you will not be permitted to dispose of them at the HRCs if you do not have permits if your vehicle type requires them, please check our website more information about E-Permits before visiting the HRCs.

Not suitable for reuse?

If you think your unwanted furniture or electrical appliance is not suitable for reuse, you can take it to any of our Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) for disposal free of charge,

Recycle clothes and smaller household items

Items such as clothes, books and household items can be donated to charity shops. By donating you are not only supporting those in need, but you are also helping to keep quality items out of landfill sites.

If you have items that are not suitable for a charity shop, remember you can bring them to any of our Household Recycling Centres (HRCs)
