Pedestrian training

The Road Safety team deliver Pedestrian Training to people of all ages however the vast majority of training takes place in schools across Telford and Wrekin and we cater for all year groups.

In recent years we have reviewed our pedestrian training programmes and developed new schemes based on recognised behavioural change theories. The training involves both engaging classroom based learning followed by practical training on the roads near to school. Training is age appropriate and helps children develop the skills, knowledge and confidence around pavement behaviour and the green cross code. Using evaluation techniques outliers are highlighted and results are fed back the class teacher. Feedback on this scheme has been excellent with post evaluation results consistently high.

We also offer bespoke small group or 1:1 sessions for children or young people who would benefit from more concentrated support.

If you would like to book pedestrian training for your school please contact the Road Safety team.
