Tibberton and Cherrington Parish Council is consulting on its draft neighbourhood development plan. The plan will guide future development of the area and contain planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications.

Designation of a neighbourhood area

The first formal step in the process is to designate a neighbourhood area and define the proposed boundary covered by a plan. In October 2018 Tibberton and Cherrington Parish Council applied for the designation of the neighbourhood area, the proposed boundary being the whole of the parish boundary area.

A consultation of at least six weeks began on 15 November 2018 until 10 January 2019 and Telford & Wrekin Council approved the application in January 2019.

For information, notice of decision regarding the application, a map of the Tibberton and Cherrington Parish Council neighbourhood planning area and Tibberton and Cherrington's application to become a neighbourhood planning area can be viewed in the attachments below.
