Telford has a strong range of education and training provision, including top performing leading grammar schools, as well as award winning FE Colleges and 6th forms.

School attainment results outperform the national average, with the number of pupils gaining five or more GCSEs graded A* to C and A level grades continuing to outperform those obtained in England.

The Government’s Building Schools for the Future Programme has transformed secondary education in Telford with a £200m investment programme, seeing every secondary school in the borough completely rebuilt or extensively remodelled.

For those entering higher education, there are nine universities in and around the area including The University of Wolverhampton, Harper Adams University based in the borough as well as Birmingham, Coventry, Aston, Keele, Staffordshire and Derby.
