Key issues
Great care had to be taken due to building close to both public foul and storm sewers at the rear of the building. Furthermore the foul sewer at the side of the ex- house had to be diverted has it was conflicting with the new house foundation footprint. There were concerns from residents that the building would have a detrimental effect on the street scene, but the design and quality of build proved this was not the case as stated by the client: 'There were objections submitted against the planning permission but since it has been built I have had a number of people comment about how impressed they are with the finished build and how well it fits in'.
