Overview

We are accredited to provide a range of external awards, which recognise and reward attainment in a range of adventure and environmental activities.

Your options

  • NICAS: National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme
A multi-level award where we can develop essential climbing skills allowing students to develop as safe, independent climbers.
  • UKCC: Paddle power and Star Awards
A British Canoe Union awards scheme which provides a progressive route for skill levels to be assessed and accredited.
  • John Muir Award
A conservation award, which can fit alongside adventurous activities, requiring practical involvement with a conservation project and encouraging greater respect for the environment.
  • Go Mountain Bike
Provides an excellent structure to develop both riding and life skills, with levels of achievement in four areas; riding skills, sharing the outdoors, first aid and being independent.
  • BTEC in OAA & GCSE PE
We provide the technical expertise, equipment and teaching to support these BTEC and GCSE modules. Our level of involvement in these programmes ranges from providing support throughout the BTEC two year programme to providing a GCSE module in a 'different' activity. These courses provide the opportunity to complete several NGB awards.
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award
We can support your DoE programme using a mixture of afterschool sessions, half days, full days and expedition training and assessment.
  • Wrekin Award
Our introductory award for younger children and potential precursor to the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
