Overview

Arthog Outreach offers a twelve month placement, to young people wanting to enter the outdoor industry. Typically Assistant Instructors are people who have finished college or university courses, who are looking to build on their practical experience.

During the year, Assistant Instructors will gain a huge amount of experience of working in a very successful and popular outdoor education centre, and will further their experience and qualifications in outdoor adventure leadership. They will work alongside our highly qualified, professional staff, structure their responsibility with the group according to their development needs.

We will provide the opportunity for you to attend courses, where relevant, and dependent upon your experience. This could be:

  • SPA Training and/or Assessment
  • BCU Star Awards 1-3
  • UKCC Level 1 Coach
  • ML Summer Training and/or Assessment
  • Mountain First Aid

Arthog Outreach will provide you with some paid work during the placement.
