Service delivery area Commissioning; Adult Social Care: Carers
Reason for consultation We have listened to the views of carers, through surveys, focus groups, workshops, consultations, the Carers Forum and the Carers Partnership Board. Carers have told us what is important to them. Locally we respect and acknowledge the value of consultation and engagement with carers and how this influences and shapes the delivery of local carer services. We recognise the importance of this engagement and will continue to build on our current knowledge and best practice to shape future carer services that are as individual as the carers who will access them. We now want to know what people think of our draft strategy for carers.

This strategy will primarily focus on supporting adult carers (18 years plus), and should be read together with the Young Carers Strategy and Action Plan 2012-2015.
Overview The Multi Agency Carers Strategy sets out the main priorities we aim to deliver in Telford and Wrekin. These priorities have been identified in partnership with carers, parent carers, health and social care providers and Carers Partnership Board. In finalising the strategy we are seeking endorsement from key stakeholders.
