Who can get involved? The survey covers a sample of carers who are aged 18 or over when the questionnaires are distributed, and who are helping or looking after someone aged 18 or over and who are known to Telford & Wrekin Council as a carer.

Reason for consultation It is a National Survey, directed by the Department of Health, to gather the views on:
? Whether services received by carers are helping them in their caring role and their life outside of caring
? Carers' perception of services provided to the cared for person.

How to get involved? Consultation is only by survey, and the survey can only be completed by those people who are selected in the sample and who receive the survey, by post, directly from Telford & Wrekin Council. This is in order to comply with the national guidance.
What happens next? National results will be published by the Department of Health via the NHS Information Centre for Health and Social Care.
Results / Outcome Local Results will be used to inform management and commissioning decisions and will be included within the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA).
