Between 2022 and 2024, we invested £12 million to help people struggling with the national cost of living crisis, supporting:

  • our Crisis Assistance Fund
  • support for local food banks and supermarket food vouchers
  • warm spaces in the community
  • and a home energy efficiency programme.

For 2026 / 2027, we’re proposing more than £5.5m for a range of housing initiatives to support residents, including affordable warmth, empty properties, rough sleeper, disabled facility grants and temporary accommodation.
