Acquired brain injury (ABI)
An ABI is an injury caused to the brain since birth or by another cause such as:
- a fall
- a road accident
- a tumour
- or a stroke.
If you have or know someone who has an acquired brain injury there are different methods of support that may be available.

Care Act assessment
You may be eligible for a Care Act assessment. This assessment is focused on the outcomes that you would like to achieve. If you are eligible, we might need to provide prevention and rehabilitation services to improve levels of independence.
