Funded by UK GovernmentThe Government has announced a new fund to support people facing financial crisis.

The Crisis and Resilience Fund is designed to:

  • help people manage sudden or unexpected expenses or a loss of income
  • support longer-term financial resilience term financial resilience.

This fund is provided by the UK Government and will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.

Our local scheme will begin on 1 April 2026. We are currently developing how the scheme will work.

This page will be updated as soon as more information becomes available.

The Crisis and Resilience Fund will replace the Household Support Fund, which ends on 31 March 2026.  It is not a direct replacement, as the Household Support Fund was focused on supporting residents with the cost of living and the new fund is focused on financial crisis.
