From Monday 16 June 2025, redevelopment works will begin in the new section at Wellington Cemetery. These works are expected to continue through to July 2025.

We are committed to minimising disruption and ensuring respectful access throughout this period. Funerals and family visits will continue as normal in the affected area.

From 9 September 2024, the Death Registration process is changing. This involves changes to legislation, and how paperwork is completed and by whom, rather than to the registration itself.
