Telford Bike Hub run a number of cycling activities throughout the year, these include; Learn to Ride group sessions, Led Rides, 121 training, Bike Maintenance courses, Adult cycle training and more. 

Telford Bike Hub is currently closed for winter and will reopen on Saturday 1 April 2023. From here we will be open every weekend until the end of the October half term and everyday during the school holidays, opening times will be 10am - 4pm (last hire 4pm to be returned at 5pm). Bike hire is available from as little as £1.

Our popular group Learn to Ride sessions return during the Easter holidays and can be booked through the Tickets Telford website.

Bikeability Family

Venue: Telford Bike Hub, Telford Town Park, next to the Visitor Centre
Dates and times: arranged between family and instructor. This training is formed of two sessions usually 1 hour each.
Age: session one is off road and children must be aged 7 and over. Session two consists of on road training and children must be aged 9 or over for taking part in this session. 
Price: £10 per family - payable once dates arranged

Description:
These sessions are to ensure children and their family are confident and competent at Bikeability Level 2. Many children complete Bikeability Level 2 in year 6 but if they have missed out at school this could be the perfect opportunity for the child and an adult to get up to speed with the nationally recognised Bikeability which covers how to cycle safely on our roads. A minimum of 1 adult and 1 child per family.

Due to our busy 'Summer of Cycling' we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate all bookings this summer however we will do our very best to arrange sessions at the earliest convenience.


1 to 1 Cycle Training / Learn to Ride

Venue: to be determined by the rider
Dates and times: arranged between rider and instructor. Sessions are 1 hour.
Age: 12+
Price: £25 per session

Description:
Suitable for children 12+ and adults. The instructor will discuss your aims and ambitions and develop a training programme specific to you. Whether you are new to riding and wishing to learn or you can already ride and want to brush up on your skills, confidence and road knowledge these sessions will accommodate your individual needs.

Our instructors are nationally qualified, DBS checked and first aid trained. We only use instructors who understand the various needs of individuals.


Bikeability Level 1

Venue: Telford Bike Hub, Telford Town Park, next to the Visitor Centre
Age: 7+
Price: £10 per child

We can also run bespoke courses for organised groups, please contact us to discuss.

Description:
Bikeability is today's cycle training programme. It's like cycling proficiency, but better! Through a series of fun games and challenges riders learn to control and master their bikes. Bikeability Level 1 is a highly practical session and open to children over 7 years old who can ride without stabilisers.

Parents/Guardians are not required to stay for this session.
