Pride in Wellington
More than £35m is being invested in Telford and Wrekin between 2022 and 2024 to keep neighbourhoods safe, clean and well connected as part of the ‘Pride in Our Community’ investment programme. As part of the Council’s ongoing investment into roads and footpaths, we will shortly be carrying out a major redevelopment of Market Street, Wellington. This will include widening the footpath, resurfacing the carriageway, replacing all kerbs and installing new drainage, to improve the general street scene and make the street safer and more accessible for pedestrians, while still maintaining the one way street with some parking/loading provision throughout.
Areas identified:
The scheme begins at the turning for Station Road and ends at the junction with Bridge Street.
