Get involved in the delivery of Happy Healthy & Active Holiday’s

Can you provide activities and/or meals for school aged children and young people eligible for income-related free school meals during the Easter, Summer and Christmas school holiday period? If so we think this may be of interest to you.

Join many other organisations who have provided activities during 2021 and get involved in the delivery of Happy Healthy & Active Holiday's for 2022 to 2024.

During 2021 many organisations joined us to deliver a successful programme for eligible children and young people. We now seek support from more organisations, including childcare providers, activity providers, schools and community/voluntary sector organisations with relevant experience who can make these next three years a fantastic time for children and young people in the borough.

Can you provide Happy Healthy & Active Holiday Sessions? (Club Provider)

Club providers are required to deliver holiday clubs during the following school holidays:

  • Easter: 4 sessions, each lasting four hours
  • Summer: 16 sessions, each lasting four hours
  • Christmas: 4 sessions each lasting four hours, however, an alternative ‘blended offer’ that includes some face-to-face and a take-home activity and or meal pack can be considered for the Christmas holiday

These sessions need to offer free enriching activity (such as arts and crafts, educational activities etc.), physical activity, healthy eating information and a meal (preferably hot) to children aged 5-16 years of age who are eligible for income-based free school meals.

To help you do this you can buy into the support offered from one of the organisations registered on a list of potential Delivery Partners or from a provider of your choice. For example, if you are able to provide all provisions except for food and physical activity, this shouldn't stop you from taking part, you can use grant money to buy these services.

* Whilst we would like all applicants to meet the above criteria, the panel may consider projects that fall outside of this condition where an application is particularly strong and local need is identified.

Can you provide an element of the required provision? (Delivery Partner)

Are you are an organisation who delivers services or activities, which could form part of the Club Providers offer?

If you have a suitable venue or provide food to the standard required, or offer physical or enriching activities (e.g. arts and crafts, educational activity etc.), nutritional education or specialist services to ensure clubs are inclusive and would like to get involved please register your services.  Holiday Club Providers will be able to view your information and may choose to use some of their grant funding to buy in your support.
