Telford & Wrekin Council continues to invest in the Pride in Our High Street programme as part of an ongoing commitment to work with local people and to help tackle the issues and additional pressures high streets face.
We are constantly reviewing the support we provide to both new and existing high street businesses and are now launching a new programme of grants under our ‘Revive and Thrive’ initiative.
This grant programme will help established high street businesses to grow and help new businesses to open or to test the market. Further details of grants and funding can be found in the ‘Grants and Funding’ section below.
We are incredibility proud of our high street retailers and businesses who have shown such resilience during the ongoing pandemic and in 2021 we launched our High Street Hero Awards.
Open to public nominations, the first Awards were made in November 2021 when 30 businesses across Telford and Wrekin were recognised for their contributions to the high street and their local communities. You can find a list of all the winners under ‘High Street Heroes’.
There will be two High Street Heroes awards in 2022 and nominations for the first awards open in February 2022.
Watch this space for more information so you can vote for your favourite business.
Thank you for continuing to support our local high streets.
Together we are stronger and with your support we will help keep our local high streets alive and vibrant.
