Telford & Wrekin Council continues to invest in the Pride in Our High Street programme as part of an ongoing commitment to work with local people and to help tackle the issues and additional pressures high streets face.
We offer a series of ‘revive and thrive’ business support grants and are constantly reviewing the support we provide to both new and existing high street businesses.
This grant programme is helping established high street businesses to grow and new businesses to open or to test the market. Further details of grants and funding can be found in the ‘Grants and Funding’ section to the right.
We are incredibility proud of our high street retailers and businesses who have shown such resilience during the challenges of the last three years and in 2021 we launched our High Street Hero Awards.
Through the awards, which take place twice a year, up to 30 businesses across Telford and Wrekin are recognised for their contributions to the high street and their local communities. You can find a list of all the previous winners under ‘High Street Heroes’.
Watch this space for more information about our High Street Heroes 2023 awards so you can vote for your favourite business when nominations open.
Thank you for continuing to support our local high streets.
Together we are stronger and with your support we will help keep our local high streets alive and vibrant.
Be loyal to local in Telford and Wrekin and shop locally.
