Worried about money?

There’s lots we can do to help. Find out what support is on offer.

Household Support Fund

Support with food and household energy until 31 March 2023

We will contact residents directly who qualify for school holiday supermarket food vouchers for their children and pensioners who are in receipt of certain benefits. Please view the Introduction page for more details.

If you are suffering exceptional financial hardship that risks the wellbeing of you and your family, you can make an application to our Discretionary Household Support Fund. The income, capital and essential expenditure of your family will be looked at when we consider whether you qualify for an award.

Awards will usually be in the form of a supermarket voucher or an energy voucher/payment. We will usually only grant one award per household and you must live within the Borough of Telford & Wrekin.

Complete our online Discretionary Household Support Fund application form

We aim to process applications in 7 working days; however, we are currently experiencing high demand. We process applications in date order and will contact you as soon as we can, but currently this may take up to 10 working days.
