Join the library

It's free to join our libraries. Anyone of any age can become a library member to borrow books and audio items. Joining the library also gives you free access to our library computers.


How many items can I borrow?

You can borrow up to 16 items on each library ticket and items on loan can be returned to any library in Telford and Wrekin.

These can include:

  • books
  • audiobooks on CD
  • language courses.

Use our online library catalogue to see what we have in stock. 


How long can I keep a library item for?

Books and most audio items are issued for three weeks and can be renewed up to three times as long as no one else has requested them.


Renewing my library items

Renewing your items is easy. Use our online library catalogue to renew your items before they become overdue or please contact your local library.

There will be library charges if you keep items out for longer than the loan period. Please view our current fees and charges.


How do I update my personal details

Please remember to let us know if your personal details have changed. You can do this online by logging into the online library catalogue or you can contact your local library

  • change of address
  • telephone number
  • email addresses.

How do I report my library ticket as lost or stolen?

If your library card is lost or stolen please tell us using our online form. A stop will then be placed on your ticket until you next visit the library with appropriate ID.
