Landlord accreditation scheme

The Council now operates a landlord accreditation scheme, where accredited landlords can access online Housing Benefit information concerning the claims paid direct to them; for example, the amounts and claim numbers that make up the latest payment. Housing Benefit Landlord Portal

The previous Landlord Portal, which enabled you to securely access our website and view real-time information concerning the benefit payments you are receiving on behalf of your tenants, is being replaced by a new Housing Benefit Landlord Portal on 16 December 2019.

This new portal is simple to use, will provide more information to help you monitor your tenants’ accounts and reduce the need for you to have to contact us with enquiries about Housing Benefit payments.

Existing users should receive a notification by email about how to access the new portal, together with new login details for them to reset their password.

New Landlords who wish to gain access to the Housing Benefit Landlord Portal simply need to complete an online application form:

Once completed, we will then register your details and email you your new login details, a temporary password and link to the portal.

Once your account has been set up, you will be able to view your payment schedules and access the status of your tenants.
