Volunteering in Telford & Wrekin Libraries

Home Library Service (HLS) Volunteers

HLS volunteers deliver books and other library materials to people who are unable to visit the library because of age, disability or caring responsibilities. They talk to the customers about their reading preferences and liaise with library staff about book selection.

Due to the nature of the role, volunteers must be over 18 years of age. 

Volunteers are currently needed to deliver in the following areas:

  • Madeley
  • Newport
  • Stirchley
  • Wellington.

Bounce and Rhyme Volunteers

Bounce and Rhyme volunteers will be involved in leading groups of parents and children in singing rhymes and songs. They will also help set up the library space for the activity.

Due to the nature of the role, volunteers must be over 18 years of age.
