Monthly ASB patrol information - July 2021

The Anti-Social Behaviour team carry out a wide range of actions to tackle ASB, working with a wide range of organisations to include local Safer Neighbourhood Policing teams.

Enquiries Twenty four new cases received in relation to noise and nuisance neighbours.
Number of patrols and the locations covered

Two patrols a week in the following areas:

  • Millstream Way, Leegomery due to reports of littering.
  • Dalelands, Hollinswood due to reports of parking issues.
  • Four visits to Leegomery BMX track and skate park due to reports of ASB.
  • Aqueduct Lane due to reports of ASB, supporting Police with patrols.
  • Festival Gardens, Arleston due to reports of ASB on the field.
  • Footpath that leads from Urban Gardens to Haybridge Road due to reports of ASB, littering and overgrown vegetation.
  • Lawley Village Green, Lawley MUGA and Lawley Stoney Fold due to reports of ASB.
  • Three ASB visits to hot spot locations in Hollinswood.
Mobile cameras request and deployments
  • Grainger Drive, Leegomery a camera has been deployed due to reports of ASB.
  • Ten Tree Croft, Wellington a camera has been deployed due to reports of ASB.
  • Espley Court, Wellington a camera has been deployed on behalf of the Parish to capture fly tippers.
  • Bellpit Road, Overdale a camera has been deployed due to mini motor issues.
Number of ongoing ASB cases being investigated
  • Four ongoing cases.
Number of ASB visits (tenant meetings, Landlord meetings, police meetings)
  • Two drop in session at Wellington Police Station.
  • One drop in session at Donnington Police Station.
  • Two drop in sessions at Madeley Police Station.
  • Two drop in sessions at Malinsgate Police Station.
  • Southwater meeting held on 23 July 2021 with Telford Town Centre, Police, Street Pastors, Telford Ice Rink and the Anti-Social Behaviour Team. This was to discuss ways to prevent and tackle ASB during the summer holidays.
  • Three visits to rough sleepers with supported move.
  • PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) discussions with Police for Wellington street drinking. 
  • Two on site meetings at Sutton Hill due to ASB issues.
Number of Community Protection Notices and Warnings (CPNW), civil injunctions issued
  • None. 
Number of CCTV requests (Freedom of Information (FOI) and police)
  • Five freedom of information requests and fourteen CCTV requests from Police handled by Telford & Wrekin Council. 
Multi agency operations
  • The Anti-Social Behaviour Team, Neighbourhood Enforcement Team and Police held a drop in session at Morrisons Car Park, Lawley followed by patrols in hot spot locations on 22 July 2021.
  • Town Centre begging operation.
  • Joint patrol held on 28 July 2021 with Hadley and Leegomery SNT to visit ASB hot spot locations. 
  • Joint patrol held on 21 July 2021 with Donnington, Trench and Wrockwardine Wood SNT to visit ASB hot spot locations.

  • One community trigger.
