Over the last decade...

Telford & Wrekin Council has built a strong track record of delivering regeneration that makes a difference.

The transformation of Southwater has created a vibrant destination for shopping, leisure and entertainment, attracting visitors, supporting businesses and generating significant economic benefits for the Borough.

Alongside this, an ambitious programme of cultural events has brought nationally recognised artists, festivals and free community activities to Telford Town Park, helping to drive regeneration through culture and create experiences that are accessible to everyone.

That success is continuing through the development of Station Quarter, one of the most significant regeneration projects in the Borough's history.

The scheme will introduce new learning, living and commercial opportunities in the heart of Telford, strengthening the town's education offer and helping more people access the skills and qualifications needed for high-quality jobs.

Our ambitions extend beyond the town centre. We are investing in the future of Wellington and Oakengates, building on their rich heritage and unique character to create thriving town centres that support local businesses, attract visitors and strengthen local economies.

Through initiatives such as Pride in Our High Street, the Council has invested significantly in supporting independent businesses, helping new enterprises open their doors, creating jobs and bringing vacant premises back into use.

Combined with investment in public spaces, infrastructure and town centre improvements, this work is helping our high streets adapt, grow and succeed.

Looking ahead, exciting regeneration projects in Wellington and Oakengates will unlock the potential of key sites and community assets.
