It's free to join our libraries. Anyone of any age can become a library member to borrow books, audio items and access our online resources. Joining the library also gives you free access to our library computers.


How many items can I borrow?

You can borrow up to 16 items on each library ticket and items on loan can be returned to any library in Telford and Wrekin. View information on how to find a library in Telford and Wrekin.

These can include:

  • audiobooks on CD
  • language courses.

How long can I keep a library item for?

Books and most audio items are issued for three weeks and can be renewed up to three times as long as no one else has requested them.

How do I update my personal details

Please remember to let us know if your personal details have changed. You can do this online by logging into your account via our online catalogue  or you can contact your local library by viewing our libraries contact information.

Complete the online registration form (16+ years) 

Complete the online registration form if you are 16+ to join the library. You will be given a temporary number and PIN. To receive your library card just visit your local library and show official proof of your name, such as a bank card or passport.

If you are under 16 years of age, the registration form needs to be signed by a parent, carer or guardian. In this case you can download the registration form to complete and take to your nearest library (.pdf Size: 37Kb) .

Under 16's cannot join online unless a parent, carer or guardian does so on their behalf. To receive your library card please take a registration form signed by a parent, carer or guardian to your local library.
