Consultations - Gambling Act 2005 Review of Statement of Principles Consultation

We must consult with

• The Chief Officer of Police;

• One or more persons who appear to the authority to represent the interests of persons carrying on gambling businesses in the authority’s area;

• One or more persons who appear to the authority to represent the interests of persons who are likely to be affected by the exercise of the authority’s functions under the Gambling Act 2005.

There are no restrictions on who can get involved, as in theory everyone could be affected by this Statement of Principles.

This is a statutory consultation. The Statement of Principles must be reviewed every 3 years.

The Statement of Principles under the Gambling Act 2005 has been reviewed and some changes made. This is a consultation on the revised Statement before it goes to Full Council in November for approval
