Even though we don't have our own housing stock we still
have important housing responsibilities that provide opportunities
to improve the borough and residents' lives.
Good quality housing can improve health and well-being, and make
communities more sustainable. While more homes are needed in the
borough, improving the housing stock that exists already can help
to improve local areas and individuals' lives.
We are the local housing authority. We deal with homelessness
issues, work to provide more and more affordable housing and work
to ensure properties within the borough are well maintained,
including bringing empty properties back into use.
We provide a range of services and advice about housing issues.
We can also give advice about problems with your landlord or
tenant, information on council tax and housing benefit and guidance
on improving or adapting your home.
