Learning Disabilities Partnership Board
The Learning Disability Partnership Board is here to make sure that adults with a learning disability have the same chances in life as everybody else.
The Learning Disability Partnership Board meets four times a year in person, these meeting are co-chaired by:
- A person with lived experience.
- The manager for Learning Disabilities from Telford & Wrekin Council.
Meetings take place in various locations in Telford.
2025 meeting dates:
- 17 March from 11am – 1pm
- 16 June from 11am – 1pm
- 15 September from 11am – 1pm
- 15 December from 11am – 1pm.

People with learning disabilities, and their families, should be able to access advice, information, care and support that is aspirational, modern and meaningful.
We are proud there is good support for people in Telford and Wrekin, but, we know there are many things that could be better.
The strategy sets out the areas that are most important to people who live in Telford and Wrekin.
We will be able to advise you on different types of support that are available dependent upon your needs. At Telford & Wrekin Council we also provide support for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
Who is on the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board?
- People with Learning Disabilities.
- Family and Carer Representatives.
- Work Group Leads.
- Commissioners.
- Adult Social Care.
- Telford & Wrekin Council.
- Community Development Groups.
- Care Provider Representatives.
- Voluntary Organisation Representatives.
The Co-chairs of the Learning Disability Partnership Board are:
- Stacey
- Julie Noble, Commissioning Specialist for Adults with Learning Disability & Autism
The Learning Disabilities Partnership Board bring together people with learning disabilities and co-production.
The Learning Disabilities Partnership Board are involved in lots of different projects and are always active in helping Telford & Wrekin Council make services and information accessible.
The Learning Disability Partnership board will attend regular meetings, the meetings' agendas and minutes will be uploaded to the Council's web page so everyone can read them.
On your 18th birthday you will be classed as an adult, this will mean changes to the way you receive support from a variety of professionals and organisations.
In Telford and Wrekin, we are committed to supporting our young people, their families and carers in preparing for adulthood to ensure you are supported to be independent.
Co-production is creating an equal partnership between people who access the services and professionals.
We ensure, people with learning disabilities are heard, and understood.
