Where and when to leave your bins
When should I put my recycling/rubbish containers out for their scheduled collection?
Make sure your containers are placed on the public footpath/roadside nearest to the edge of your property for 7am on the day of your scheduled collection, or no earlier than the night before, view your next scheduled collection day.
How to ensure a smooth collection
For more information about how to ensure a smooth collection of your containers please view the guidelines on how to correctly present your recycling and rubbish containers for your scheduled collections.
Failure to meet these guidelines can result in your bins and/or containers not being emptied until your next scheduled collection day. You will then need to dispose of any excess rubbish and recycling at our household recycling centres.
Don't forget to return your containers home after collection
Once your bins and containers have been emptied it is really important to return them to your property as soon as possible, this will ensure that they don't go missing, get contaminated by passers by or cause an obstruction.
We request that all containers are returned to your property within 24 hours of your collection being completed, failure to do so could result in a Fixed Notice Penalty Notice being issued to the householder.
