AFC Telford United Foundation KIX - free football youth clubs
Telford & Wrekin Council is committed to ensuring young people have access to free, positive activities in their local communities.

Through partnerships with organisations including AFC Telford United Foundation and the Urban Games, hundreds of young people across the borough can take part in free football sessions every week.
The award-winning KIX programme provides free football and youth engagement sessions for boys and girls aged 11 to 16 in communities across Telford and Wrekin.
Delivered by qualified AFC Telford United Foundation coaches, sessions combine football with wider youth support activities, helping young people build confidence, develop friendships and improve their wellbeing in a safe and welcoming environment.
Recognised nationally as the National League Trust Project of the Year, KIX has become one of the Borough's most successful youth programmes.

AFC Telford KIX is more than just football...
While football may bring young people onto the pitch, the benefits go far beyond the game.
Taking part can help young people:
stay physically active
make new friends and develop teamwork skills
improve mental health and wellbeing
build confidence and resilience
learn new skills and challenge themselves
connect with trusted adults and positive role models
feel part of their local community.
The sessions also provide positive activities outside of school hours, helping young people spend time in safe, supportive environments.
Tom Elliott, AFC Telford United Foundation Manager, said: “Football is a fantastic way of bringing young people together, but the real impact comes from the confidence, friendships and life skills they develop through taking part.
“Through programmes like KIX, we're able to provide free opportunities that help young people stay active, feel connected to their community and realise their potential. We're proud to work alongside Telford & Wrekin Council to make these opportunities available to as many young people as possible.”
Free football sessions for 11 to 16 year-olds across Telford and Wrekin all year round.
