Attention - school admissions and school appeals
Due to the current COVID-19 situation we envisage a serious delay to any in-year applications for school places. We recognise that our service is important to you and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
If your child is in Year 2 and attending an infant school you will need to apply for a place at a Junior School (in Year 3) for the 2021/2022 academic year starting in September 2021.
You can apply online for a Junior School place. If you do not have access to a computer you can go to your local library and ask a member of staff to help you submit an application.
The closing date for applications was 15 January 2021. All applications received after this date will not be considered until after the national offer date of 16 April 2021. Late applications will be looked at in the second allocation round.
If you wish to apply for your child to transfer into a primary school instead of a junior school, you will not be able to do this until the summer term 2021 when the portal will open for all in-year primary applications for 2021. In the meantime we strongly recommend that you apply for a junior school place.
If a school has fewer places than applicants then priority is given to children who have attended the linked infant/junior school.
