From mid September 2022 if your child is in Year 2 and attending an infant school you will need to apply for a place at a Junior School (in Year 3) for the 2023/2024 academic year starting in September 2023.
You can apply online for a Junior School place. If you do not have access to a computer you can go to your local library and ask a member of staff to help you submit an application.
The closing date for applications is 15 January 2023. All applications received after this date will not be considered until after the national offer date of 17 April 2023. Late applications will be looked at in the second allocation round.
If you wish to apply for your child to transfer into a primary school instead of a junior school, you will not be able to do this until the summer term 2023 when the portal will open for all in-year primary applications for 2023. In the meantime we strongly recommend that you apply for a junior school place.
