Headstones and memorials

Fees for memorials and headstones, effective from 1 April 2019. No VAT is chargeable.

Memorial description Fee
Permission to erect a headstone on a lawn grave.
Memorial maximum dimensions, including foundation, are:
3'6" high x 36" wide x 18" deep

Permission to erect a headstone on a traditional kerbed grave.
Memorial maximum dimensions, including foundation, are:
3'6" high x 36" wide x 6'6" deep (length of a kerb)

Permission to erect a headstone on a garden of remembrance space.
Memorial maximum dimensions, including foundation, are:
22" high x 18" wide x 12" deep
£150
Permission to erect a headstone on a baby/child's grave.
Memorial maximum dimensions, including foundation, are:
22" high x 18" wide x 12" deep
(If requested, a kerb set can be installed with a maximum overall kerb length of 36")

Permission to place a vase £65
Permission to place a plaque, if purchased elsewhere £60
Additional inscription on an existing memorial £75
Annual stonemason's licence fee £75
