National Volunteers' Week (1 - 7 June 2022)

National volunteers week logo

National Volunteers Week is an annual event which takes place on 1 June 2022 - 7 June 2022. It celebrates the contribution made by millions of volunteers across the UK.

As you may already know, the Council runs a promotional campaign on this every year to thank our amazing volunteers and to showcase their fantastic efforts.
As part of National Volunteer Week we will be saying a “Time to say Thanks", we are celebrating the fantastic contribution that our volunteers make across Telford and Wrekin.

For the next week we will be high lighting some of the amazing work individuals and groups have done to make Telford and Wrekin a great place to live.
Whether it be caring for someone, looking after animals, caring for the environment, stewarding an event, being a school governor or supporting a local community group, each day volunteers make a positive difference to our borough.

Have you ever considered volunteering? It’s easier than you think and doesn’t have to take up a lot of your time. What’s more it can be a great way of meeting new people, getting more active and feeling good by giving something back. Visit the Volunteer Telford website to find out more.
