A group of volunteers who are confident computer users are offering their time to tutor people to use a computer and the internet.
Many people who have already been taught are now enjoying using the internet for: keeping in touch with family and friends, shopping, researching family history, booking holidays, filling in forms, finding the best energy and insurance deals, researching activities, editing and sharing photographs, and social network sites. The list is endless.
The training takes place at free weekly drop in sessions where volunteers help people who have little or no experience, and also those who just need a little help or are struggling with using a new device, a particular programme or function.
You can chat, share ideas, get help and advice and even help others and you can bring along your own laptop, tablet or smartphone or use equipment provided.
No need to book, just drop in.

The service also aims to contribute to improving the skills and employment levels of the borough by supporting adults who are low-skilled, unemployed or otherwise distant from learning and employment to progress.
