Highways Asset Management Policy and Strategy
A good transport network is essential for a successful economy. Our roads provide access to jobs, services and education; they get goods to shops and allow us to make the most of our free time. Our local roads are at the heart of the transport network and have a role to play in ensuring that transport in Telford delivers the services that residents and businesses need.
The Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Strategy (.pdf Size: 2076Kb) and the Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Policy (.pdf Size: 1160Kb) together set out the Council's strategic approach to managing and maintaining its highway infrastructure assets. They demonstrate how we will continue to apply a risk-based, evidence-led approach to investment and maintenance, aligned with the Council Plan, the Local Plan review, the emerging Local Transport Plan and the principles contained within the Well-Managed Highway Infrastructure Code of Practice. The documents also support the Council's wider priorities around economic growth, sustainability, resilience and delivering value for money.
