The Paddock
Situated in the heart of Wellington, The Paddock seeks to support young people across Shropshire and beyond with tailored, compassionate education.
The Paddock offers an alternative provision designed to re-engage young people in meaningful learning. We open pathways back into formal education while providing a unique approach to SEMH that helps every learner flourish. We offer both ‘Targeted’ and ‘Targeted Plus Support’ for young people to address learning needs and support reintegration.
Our team has highly experienced staff and the Wellbeing Programme is supported by two, in house counsellors.

Our curriculum is specifically designed to meet the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs of our students. We combine core academic subjects with therapeutic interventions, ensuring that emotional regulation and well-being are at the forefront of every lesson, creating a supportive foundation for re-engagement.
We offer a bespoke educational experience that recognizes where each student is on their developmental path. Our curriculum focuses on core subjects, a wellbeing support programme and a smooth transition back to school.
We will work closely with our commissioning schools to develop a bespoke curriculum for each young person in Maths and English, and will set targets for up to two other specific national curriculum subjects.
