Mountain biking

Overview

Trail riding is the fastest growing sport in the UK and this part of Wales has been at the forefront of its development. The Coed y Brenin Forest Park, a short drive from Arthog, is a world class venue for trail riding, boasting miles and miles of purpose built trails which wind their way through stunning countryside.

Closer to home, we have access to many trail riding routes in the Mawddach valley and we can 'pick and mix' routes to suit age and ability. For those who prefer their riding to be on level ground, we can follow the Mawddach trail along the estuary and even cross the railway viaduct to visit Barmouth.

Your options

We only offer mountain biking to young people of secondary school age and adults, and this incurs an additional cost for the bike hire. With younger riders our emphasis is placed on safe riding and using the bike to journey in the outdoors. However, out of all of our adventure activities, this is the only one which requires prior skill i.e. competence and confidence on two wheels.

For adults wanting to progress their skills, we offer specialised weekends which combine the riding of fantastic trails with the opportunity to benefit from the coaching expertise and experience of our qualified staff .

And finally, if you like the idea of riding with us further afield, why not join one of our weekend trips in the UK or our longer trips abroad.
